Welcome to the website of author Marika Cobbold.

Marika’s new novel On Hampstead Heath, is published on the 15th of April 2021.

Alex Preston in his Observer round-up of fiction to look out for in 2021 describes it as A mystery and an elegy for the death of old-fashioned journalism. Its a book that will warm your heart.

 Sarah Hughes, for The i, lists On Hampstead Heath as one of the 75 best books of 2021 saying, Few writers balance dark and light as well as Cobbold. 

Marika is the author of eight novels, including Guppies For Tea, picked for the first W.H. Smiths Fresh Talent promotion, shortlisted for the Sunday Express Novel of the Year, serialised on radio 4 Womans Hour and made into a film starring Inge Meysel; Frozen Music, a best-seller in the UK and abroad, and Drowning Rose, A Guardian Readers Book of the Year.

Marika’s short-stories and journalism have appeared in a variety of magazines and newspapers in the UK and in Sweden.
